This article is prepared assuming you have Easy Digital Downloads installed on your website.
Let us now explain step by step how to install a cryptocurrency payment gateway for Easy Digital Downloads.
Install CryptoPay Lite
First, go to the add new plugin page and type CryptoPay, install CryptoPay and then activate it.
Configure CryptoPay Lite
Then, go to CryptoPay Lite settings, go to the EVM tab menu and enter your Ethereum (MetaMask) wallet address. This address will be valid for all networks.
Install Easy Digital Downloads Integration Add-on
Go back to the Add new plugin page and type CryptoPay Easy. Typing this will be enough for you to see the relevant integration plugin.
Install it first and then activate it as in the steps above.
Activate CryptoPay Lite in EDD Settings
Then go to the Payments area in Easy Digital Downloads settings and activate CryptoPay as you see in the picture.
Payment steps with CryptoPay Lite
Go to Checkout and Choose CryptoPay Lite
If you only have CryptoPay Lite enabled, the options will not appear. You can press the pay button directly. If you have more than one payment gateway enabled, you need to select CryptoPay Lite.
Choose a Network in Receipt
Then select the blockchain network you want to pay on the receipt screen. We will proceed with the BNB Smart Chain Testnet.
Pay With CryptoPay Lite in BNB Chain Testnet
On the screen that opens, you can select the cryptocurrencies you can pay with under the blockchain network of your choice. We will continue with BNB.
Afterwards, you can see the available wallets and the wallets that can be used. If none of them are available, you can download them. We will continue with MetaMask.
On the next screen, accept the payment request.
